UHM University multipurpose building

The building is formally composed of several prismatic and compact bodies. These open up to the outside of the building and to the central courtyard. Among these compact bodies are the circulation elements. Thus, the geometry and position of the building itself also organizes the exterior space of the plot, meaning the pedestrian routes and connections within the University Campus.

The project is characterised by the permeability and fluidity of the interior walkway through which the entire building is travelled. This large atrium houses the most public functional program, connecting the entire program both in plan and in section. In this way, the tour space also assumes the function of a stay and enriches the exchange of relations between students and users.
